2D — The Division

The emergence of contrast.

Light and shadow define the figure through opposition what is seen and what is withheld.

Identity appears through separation.

A study in contrast where distinction gives rise to identity.

From direction, distinction emerges.

The stencil defines through contrast light against dark, presence against absence. It is here that perception begins to choose, shaping preference through the tension of opposites.

Form is reduced to its essential planes. Identity is not yet complete, but it is becoming — filtered, refined, and held within a field of duality.

Colour moves freely across the same structure, revealing that the lens remains constant while
expression shifts.

Before the image is fixed, it is decided.
